Selling A Home: Choosing An Agent

Finding the right agent is one of the most important steps in selling your home.  A good, honest agent will suggest what he or she thinks your house is worth along with the best strategy to sell your home.   Some agent will tell you whatever they can to get your listing regardless if it is the truth or not.  Some will tell you that your home is worth a lot more than it is really worth, so you will pick them as your listing agent just to turn around and tell you that you need to lower your sales price. The only time we will ever suggest lowering your listing price is when the market calls for it. The market, not our bottom line, is the determinant.  The listing agent should be knowledgeable of the area and be able to show you how they came up with their suggested sale price.  You should also look for an agent that is willing to put in the extra time and effort to sell your home.  This includes listing on multiple services, as well as open houses.
