About San Clemente: Food

San Clemente has a good selection of Mexican, Italian, burger and pizza places, but not too great a selection outside of that. There are Japanese, Thai, Vietnamese, Indian,  Chinese, Hawaiian, Greek, and Korean food places to eat at, but they are limited. For breakfast, there are several good bagel and pastry shops, our favorites being the Bagel Shack and Ellie’s Table for pastries. For lunch, we would recommend the fish taco and guacamole at Los Patios or if you like wings Selma’s has some of the best. For a few drinks before heading out to dinner, Mulligan’s is a great dive bar to play ping pong or pool. When you’re going out to dinner on a casual night, Nomad’s is a nice find if you like fresh fish and rice bowls.  On Thursdays they have a coin flip. If you call the side of the coin, you only pay a quarter for that beer, otherwise you pay the regular price.  If heading out for a nice dinner, Nick’s on Del Mar is probably your best bet.
